Where to stay

Many of these hotels and apartments have varying rates, and are often cheaper if you share a room with others, or if you use a non-refundable rate. Be sure to check all options to obtain the best rate!

Please note that these listings are not recommendations but simply to provide you with some low-cost accommodation options. We are not associated with any of them and you are free to book accommodation anywhere you choose.

Summer Stays at The University of Edinburgh – Pollock Halls

During the summer university accommodation is available at competitive prices and all of these options include breakfast, wifi, and VAT.

Located at 18 Holyrood Park Road, Pollock Halls is Edinburgh University’s main student housing area:

3 Star – Chancellors Court
  • Twin room with en-suite
  • Tea/coffee facilities in the room
  • Shared laundry and pantry facilities
  • £115 per night for single occupancy or £147 per night for double occupancy but currently available at Hotels.com for £103.50 single and £131 double if you register as a member

You can easily reach the conference venue from here by bus plus a short walk.

Edinburgh University Hotels & Apartments

The University of Edinburgh’s hospitality collection includes additional 3 and 4-star hotels and apartments. These are generally more expensive, but you can use the code EVENT to obtain a discount. This code does not reduce already discounted rates.

We have found that at the KM Hotel selecting the flexible rate and then applying the EVENT code gives a better price than the non-refundable rate – to which the discount does not apply.

Try out different combinations of rates with and without the discount code to get the best deal.

  • KM Apartments offers a slightly cheaper option for four people sharing, but this rate does not include breakfast and is not refundable.
  • The Scholar‘s flexible rate (and using EVENT discount code) offers three nights double occupancy with breakfast for £1,100.75
