Frances Guy is the CEO of Scotland’s International Development Alliance, a network of members in Scotland working to advance global sustainable development. She brings extensive international experience, having served as Gender Team Leader at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) regional office in the Arab States from 2017 to 2021, and as UN Women’s Representative in Iraq between 2012 and 2014. Earlier in her career, Frances spent over two decades in the British Foreign Service, including roles as Ambassador to Yemen (2001–2004) and Ambassador to Lebanon (2006–2011). Her career reflects a deep commitment to gender equality, diplomacy, and advancing sustainable development worldwide.
